Please find enclosed herewith a correction slip regarding correction in para 18(i), 18(iii) & 18(vi) of Chapter V and para 10.4 of Chapter XXV of RPF Establishment Manual, 2019 regarding promotion of RPF & Ministerial staff of Security Deptt., which is self explanatory.

This is for kind information and necessary action, please.

CORRECTION SLIP-2

1. Para 18 (i), (iii) & (vi) of Chapter V of Establishment Manual may be deleted and the following may be inserted as:

Para 18: Questions for CBT:

18 (i) All questions will be ‘Objective Multiple Choice Type’ with four alternative responses (answers). All questions will be in both Hindi & English and visible in both the languages simultaneously. All questions shall carry equal marks i.e. 1 (one) mark each
Note– This will also applicable to the Sub-Inspector selection under rule 72 and Driver selections.

18 (iii) Question paper would have only one part of 100 questions, including 10 questions of the Official Language Policy. The candidates need to answer only 80 out of the 100 questions. If candidates answer more than 80 questions, the first 80 questions, answered, would be evaluated.

18 (vi) Candidates shall be awarded 01] (one) mark for each correct answer and no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in the departmental selections under rule 70 of RPF Rules, 1987. However, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer (negative marking) in the departmental selections (LDCE) under rule 72 of RPF Rules, 1987.

2. Para 10.4 of  Chapter XXV of Establishment Manual may be deleted and the following may be inserted as:

Para 10: MODE OF EXAMINATION:

10.4 There will be no negative marking in selection for promotion, where panel is arranged in the order of seniority. However, there shall be negative marking for a wrong answer for the selections where panel is arranged in the order of merit.
