DISCRETIONARY QUOTA FOR APPOINTMENTS

437. SHRI JAVED ALI KHAN:

Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:

(a) whether permanent appointments in Central Government against Group A and B is allowed out of discretionary quota of the competent appointing authorityอพ
(b) if so, the details of extant relevant rules in this regardอพ and
(c) the number of permanent appointments in Central Governmentโ€™s Ministries/Departments and other Organizations against Group A and B posts, out of discretionary quota during last three years, year-wise, Ministry/Department-wise and Group-wise?

(a) to (c): Appointments against a vacant post in Central Government is a continuous process carried out by the respective Cadre Controlling Authorities in the Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in accordance with recruitment rules of the respective posts. The details of such appointments are maintained by the respective Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations.
