Sub: Validity period of Privilege Passes/Post Retirement Complimentary Passes/Widow Passes and PTOs w.e.f. 01.11.2024.
Ref: (i) Boardโs letter No. 2007/TG-I/20/P/ARP/e-file dated 16.10.2024.
(ii) Boardโs letter No. E(W)2007/PS5-1/9 dated 26.03.2012.
Advance Reservation Period (ARP) has been reduced from 120 days to 60 days, vide Boardโs letter cited under Ref.(i) above. Consequently, queries are being received from Railways as well as employees regarding validity period of Privilege Passes (PP)/Post Retirement Complimentary Passes (PRCP)/Widow Passes (WP).
2. In this context, attention is invited to instructions contained in Para-2 of Boardโs letter cited under Ref.(ii) above, issued with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways, wherein it was stipulated that the validity period of PP/PRCP/WP and PTOs shall be 1 month more than the ARP but will not be less than 4 months, if ARP is reduced in future.
