Sub: Engagement of Medical Practitioners on Contract basis (CMPs) -— Revision of rate of remuneration.
Ref.: (i) Board’s letter no.2017/Trans/0O1/Policy/Health dated 13.02.2018.
(ii) Board’s letter no.2013/E(GR)II/1/5 dated 09.07.2018.
Ministry of Railways have reviewed the rate of remuneration payable to Contract Medical Practitioners (CMPs) engaged on full time basis on Railways and have decided to revise the fixed monthly remuneration payable as under:-

| GDMO | 75,000/- | 95,000/- |
| Specialist (1st Year) | 95,000/- | 1,23,500/- |
| Specialist (2nd Year onwards) | 1,05,000/- | 1,30,000/- |
| Super Specialist | 1,15,000/- | 1,42,000/- |
2. The above rates will be subject to following stipulations:
(i) CMPs will be paid above remuneration provided they are engaged for clinical duties.
(ii) The enhanced remuneration for CMPs in GDMO category will be subject to revision in accordance with the revised rates as and when enhanced by nodal Ministry viz. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
(iii) The remuneration of retired Railway/Government doctors engaged as CMPs shall be subject to the condition that remuneration plus pension shall not exceed last pay drawn.
3. All other terms and conditions as laid down in Railway Board’s letter No.96/E(GR)II/9/16, dated 23.02.2000 and as amended from time to time shall remain unchanged.
4. The revised rates will be effective from the date of issue of this letter.
5. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
