Addendum-III
Subject: Gramin Dak Sevaks (Compassionate Engagement) Scheme, 2023.
In continuation of this office OM No. 17-01/2017-GDS of even number dated 14.06.2023 and Addendums dated 09.11.2023 and 22.01.2024, to the GDS (Compassionate Engagement) Scheme, 2023, the following provisions are hereby added to para 2 of the GDS (Compassionate Engagement) Scheme, 2023:
(g) Married daughter subject to the condition that she was wholly dependent on the deceased GDS at the time of his/her death and she undertakes to support other dependent members of the family.
(h) Married daughter-in-law in the following conditions:
i) the son of the deceased GDS is not fit to be engaged as GDS due to circumstances like, medical/mental condition and
ii) no other member of the family can be engaged as GDS/Dak Sevak in relaxation and
iii) Head of Circle would be the competent authority to decide such requests on case to case basis.
