Expected DA/DR from Jul, 2024 @ 53% is confirmed by the All-India CPI-IW for the month of May, 2024 issued by Labour Bureau on 10.07.2024
The All-India CPI-IW for May 2024 increased by 0.5 points, standing at 139.9 (one hundred thirty-nine point nine). This increase in the May 2024 index indicates that the expected DA/DR from July 2024 will be 53% for Central Government employees and pensioners, representing a 3% increase in the existing DA/DR rate. It is now confirmed that the DA/DR from July 2024 will be 53%, as an improbable variation (9 points increase or 2.7 points decrease) would be required to change this rate. Hence, it is confirmed that the DA/DR rate from July 2024 will be 53%.
मई 2024 के लिए अखिल भारतीय सीपीआई-आईडब्ल्यू 0.5 अंक बढ़कर 139.9 (एक सौ उनतालीस दशमलव नौ) पर पहुंच गया। मई 2024 के सूचकांक में यह वृद्धि यह दर्शाती है कि केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के लिए जुलाई 2024 से अपेक्षित डीए/डीआर 53% होगा, जो मौजूदा डीए/डीआर दर में 3% की वृद्धि है। अब यह पुष्टि हो गई है कि जुलाई 2024 से डीए/डीआर 53% होगा, क्योंकि इस दर को बदलने के लिए 9 अंक की वृद्धि या 2.7 अंक की कमी जैसी असंभव भिन्नता की आवश्यकता होगी। इसलिए, यह पुष्टि की जाती है कि जुलाई 2024 से डीए/डीआर दर 53% होगी।

Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – May, 2024
1. The Labour Bureau, an attached office of the M/o Labour & Employment, has been compiling Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres in the country. The index for the months of May, 2024 is being released in this press release.
2. The All-India CPI-IW for May, 2024 increased by 0.5 point and stood at 139.9 (one hundred thirty nine point nine).
3. Year-on-year inflation for the month of May, 2024 moderated to 3.86% as compared to 4.42% in May, 2023.
