Subject: Powers for redeployment of posts- Clarifications
A kind reference is invited to this office order No. Q-25/39/2022-PE-I-DOP dated 22nd September 2022, vide which it was instructed that henceforth redeployment of all Gr.’B’ (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted) may also be done by the HoCs (with the concurrence of CIFA) in addition to Gr.C posts. Further, it was also clearly stated that the proposals for redeployment of Gr.’A’ posts shall be referred to this Directorate with the concurrence of Circle IFA and the approval of the concerned Chief Postmaster General.
2. However, it is observed that many circles are issuing orders for Upgradation/Down-gradation and redeployment of Gr.’A’ posts at circle level without the approval of this Directorate and it is also observed that many circles are issuing orders internally and the copies of orders are also not marked to this Directorate.
3. In view of above, it is hereby instructed to all circles to adhere to the instructions of this office letter dated 22nd September,2022 and proposals for redeployment/Upgradation-Down gradation of Gr.’A’ posts shall invariably be referred to this Directorate with the concurrence of CIFA and the approval of CPMG.
