438. SHRI RATTAN LAL KATARIA:
Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Sainik Welfare Boards working across the country, State/UT-wise and the details of issues considered/decisions taken by these boards related to ex-servicemen; and
(b) the number of ex-servicemen registered with the district Sainik Welfare Boards of Haryana, district-wise?

MINISTER OF STATE (SHRI AJAY BHATT) IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
(a): There are 34 Rajya Sainik Boards and 409ZilaSainikKalyan Boards working across the country. The details are at Annexue-I. Responsibilities/functions including details of subjects considered/decisions taken by Sainik Welfare Boards are placed at Annexure-II.
(b): The total number of Ex-servicemen registered in district Sainik Kalyan Boards of Haryana, district Sainik Kalyan Board wise is at Annexure-III.

ANNEXURE-II
- Responsibilities of Rajya Sainik Board: Control and Coordinate the work of ZSW Offices in the State and ensure their effective functioning. RSB also maintain liaison with Ministries of the State, State undertakings and enterprises and Banks to seek vacancies for Ex-Servicemen and widows as per reservation policy of the State and as per recruitment rules, monitor such vacancies and ensure Ex-Servicemen or widows fill these up, and have the policy on reservation for ESM in the State amended in conformity with that of Centre.
- Responsibilities of Zila Sainik Welfare Offices/Zila Sainik Board: ZSB monitor the welfare of families of servicemen and Ex-Servicemen and assist them in representing their cases with local administration or Defence authorities. Welfare organizers employed in each ZSWO/RSB play a crucial role in establishing contact with the clientele in their homes, listing their problems needs and aspirations, providing in-puts on these ZSWO/RSB, resolving these, and spreading awareness of the resettlement and welfare measures in place which they can avail-of. ZSB also Scrutinize applications for relief from various military and civil charitable funds and making suitable recommendations and provide all resettlement assistance to war widows, dependents and war disabled as well as to those who died/disabled while in service due to attributable reasons.

क्या रक्षा मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे कि :
(क) देशभर में कार्य कर रहे राज्य»संघ राज्य क्षेत्र-वार सैनिक कल्याण बोर्डों की संख्या कितनी है और इन बोर्डों द्वारा भूतपूर्व सैनिकों से संबंधित विचारित मुद्दों /लिए गए निर्णयों का ब्यौरा क्या है; और
(ख) हरियाणा के जिला सैनिक कल्याण बोर्डों में पंजीकृत भूतपूर्व सैनिकों की जिला-वार संख्या कितनी है?

(क) देश भर में 34 राज्य सैनिक बोई और 409 जिला सैनिक कल्याण बोर्ड कार्य कर रहे हैं। ब्यौरा अनुबंध-। में दिया गया है | सैनिक कल्याण बोई द्वारा विचारित विषयों/लिए गए निर्णयों का ब्यौरा सहित दायित्व/कार्य अनुबंध-2 में दिए गए हैं।
(ख) हरियाणा के जिला सैनिक कल्याण बोर्डों में पंजीकृत भूतपूर्व सैनिकों की जिला सैनिक कल्याण बोई-वार संख्या अनुबंध-3 में दी गई है।
