DISABILITY PENSION TO DEFENCE PERSONNEL

263. SHRI CHANDESHAR PRASAD:

Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:-

(a) the total number of defence personnel provided disability pension during the last five years and the current year, year-wise;

(b) whether the Government is aware that some army officers have not got their disability and service pension even after one year of their discharge from service;

(c) if so, the details of total number of such cases pending till date alongwith the reasons for delay in crediting their disability and service pension;

(d) whether the Government has given any assurance in this regard; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Year-wise details of total number of Defence Pensioners granted disability pension during the last five years and current year are as follows: –

(b): There is no pension claim of Defence Forces Personnel pending beyond prescribed limit for notification which qualify as per extant policies/rules of the Government for grant of Disability Pension and Disability Element + Service Pension.

(c) to (e): In view of (b) above, question does not arise.

रक्षाकर्मियों को निःशक्तता पेंशन

263. श्री चन्देश्वर प्रसाद :

क्या रक्षा मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे कि :

(क) विगत पांच वर्षों और वर्तमान वर्ष के दौरान निःशक्तता पेंशन प्राप्त करने वाले रक्षा कर्मियों की वर्ष-वार कुल संख्या कितनी है ;

(ख) क्‍या सरकार इस बात से अवगत है कि सेना के कुछ अधिकारियों को सेवा से मुक्त होने के एक वर्ष बाद भी उनकी निःशक्तता और सेवा पेंशन नहीं मिली है ;

(ग) यदि हां, तो अब तक ऐसे लंबित मामलों की कुल संख्या का ब्यौरा क्या है और उनकी निःशक्तता और सेवा पेंशन जमा करने में हुई देरी के क्‍या कारण हैं ;

(घ) क्‍या सरकार ने इस संबंध में कोई आश्वासन दिया है ; और

(ङ) यदि हां, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा क्या है ?

(क): विगत पांच वर्षो मान वर्ष के दौरान निःश पेंशन प्राए वाले रक्षा पेंशनभोगियों की कुल संख्या का वर्ष-वार ब्यौरा निम्नानुसार है :

(ख): निःशक्तता पेंशन और निःशक्तता पक्ष + सेवा पेंशन देने के लिए सरकार की वर्तमान नीतियों /नियमों के अनुसार निर्धारित रक्षा सेना कर्मियों का कोई भी पेंशन दावा अधिसूचना के लिए निर्धारित सीमा से अधिक लंबित नहीं है ।

(ग) से (ङ) : उपर्युक्त (ख) के आलोक में प्रश्न नहीं उठता ।
