Sub: Recruitment Rule for the post of Audiologist and Speech Therapist in Level-6 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
In regard to Recruitment Rule for the post of Audiologist and Speech Therapist in Level-6, it has been decided to insert (xi) Audiologist and Speech Therapist Para 167 D under (X) Medical Department – Para Medical Staff in Chapter-I, Section-B, Subsection-III-Recruitment and Training into Indian Railways Establishment Manual (IREM), Volume-I (Revised Edition 1989) first Re-Print Edition 2009 as per enclosed Advanced Correction Slip No 279.

(xi) AUDIOLOGIST AND SPEECH THERAPIST
167 D (1) The post of Audiologist and Speech Therapist in Level-6 (35400-112400, pre-revised GP 4200) of 7 CPC pay matrix will be filled 100% by direct recruitment from open market through the agency of Railway Recruitment Boards.
(2) (i) The educational qualification for direct recruitment from open market are as under:
Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognized University and must be registered with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
(ii) Age: 21-30 years.
