Sub: Authority Competent for cancelling CBT in selection/LDCE/ GDCE etc., when panel have not been formed.
Reference South Central Railway’s letter No.RRC/SCR/JE(P.Way)/ LDCE/Grievance dated 18.02.2022 seeking clarifications/guidelines regarding authority competent to cancel the CBT held as part of LDCE in cases where panels have not been formed.
The matter has been examined by the Board, and it is clarified that in cases where panels have not been formed, and where representations are received for cancellation of CBT held as part of selection/LDCE/GDCE due to technical glitches on a sufficiently large scale or any other major irregularity or procedural lapse, appropriate decision may be taken in the matter by the panel approving authority, taking into consideration the gravity of the issue involved.
