Payment of Rank Pay Arrears in compliance of SC Judgement –  Format for sending details: Kind attention of all Veterans/NOKs

KIND ATTENTION OF ALL VETERANS/NOKS

As per the list appended below received from PCDA(O) Pune, rank pay arrears of 5299 pensioners are heldup for payment for want of their contact & bank detials. All veterans/NOKs may check their particulars in the list and forward the requisite details as per the applicable format along with the supporting documents directly to PCDA(O) Pune on their given email ie [email protected]. The affected officers may also contact PCDA(O) Pune on 020-26401138.

This letter is with reference to the Implementation of Hon’ble Supreme Court verdict dated 04/09/2012 whereas the Implementation order restated vide MOD. New Delhi No. 34(6)2012-D(Pay/Services)dated 27/12/2012.

2. In this context it is stated that as per the instruction issued vide ibid letter, pay has to be refixed with effect from 01/01/1986 without deducting the rank pay. Also it had been instructed that interest shall be paid by the petitioners to the respondents @ 6% per annum from 01/01/2006. Rank Pay Arrears have been paid by Office of PCDA(O), Pune to 52330 veterans amounting to Rs. 5,74,20,73,914/-.

3. Payment in respect of 5299 retired officers could not be made by this Office due to non availability of Contact Details/Bank Details of the Retired Officers and delay in payment would result in heavy burden over the Govt. exchequer.

4. Since Office of PCDA(P), Allahabad is maintaining all the records including Descriptive Roll of the Pensioners, cither with the PPO Binder or in the soft copy format, wanting communication address and other details like contact no. can easily be traced out by The Office of PCDA(P), Allahabad by referring their documents.

5. As HO Office, CGDA, New Delhi is pressing hard for making early payment of balance Rank Pay arrears to the beneficiary and to avoid further accrual of interest, it is requested that details of the Retired officers viz, address, Mobile No, email id, Bank Details etc may please be provided from the Data Base/records held in your office. A list of retired officers is being enclosed for initiating favourable action in this regard at your end please at the earliest.

6. A favourable reply and immediate action in this regard will be highly solicited and appreciated please.
