Sub: Filling up the vacancies of Goods Guard through General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE).

Attention is invited to instructions contained in Board’s letter No. E(NG)I-2012/PM 1/22 dated_12.05.2017 (RBE No.46/201 7) which stipulates the mode of filling up the vacancies in the category of Goods Guards in Level-5.

2. It has been noticed that there are a large number of vacancies in the category of Goods Guards in Level-5, which is adversely affecting train operations.

3. The matter has been examined in consultation with Traffic Directorate of Railway Board and it has been decided that necessary action may be taken for conducting GDCE for filling up vacancies of Goods Guard, besides expediting the process of General selection against 60% quota. 13% LDCE quota and the DR quota.
