2. Integrated Headquarters Ministry of Defence (Navy), Directorate of Pay and Allowances has mentioned in their letter No.PN/9078/Policy/21 (ii), dated 29/06/2021 that a large number of grievances from the veterans are regularly being received to provide clarification/clarity on the amount of pension/family pension credited in their bank account on monthly basis. Veterans face problems as they are not being apprised by the banks on information with reference to Income Tax deduction, Dearness relief payment, DR arrears etc. on monthly basis. Further, they are always apprehensive that they are not getting their correct pension as no breakdown is being provided to them by the bank with reference to pension credited which results in regular rising of grievances by them.

Min of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Pension and Pensioner’s Welfare vide their letter dated 22/07/2021 has issued directives to all the Pension Disbursing Banks to issue Pension Slip to pensioners after credit of pension on their registered mobile numbers through SMS and email (wherever available) also. Banks may also use social media apps WhatsApp etc. in addition to SMS and email to share this information with the pensioner. The pension slip should provide complete details of monthly pension paid along with break-up of the amount credited and tax deductions etc. if any.
4. COMMENTS
Inspite of Govt.directive to intimate defence and defence civilian pensioner, the pension details credited in their account ln every month through sms in their registered mobile number,is not followed by most public sector banks. The authority is not compelling the banks to abide their instructions appears very dediculous.
I am suffering with this problem and found no action of my complaint from the payee bank and their cppc. My bank is UCO Bank. After July 21 no records are available in my defence info app.
