Sub : Delegation of Power for framing/amending the Recruitment Rules- Amendment of Office Order No. 26 of 1982.
Re-organisation of the Railway Board•on functional lines was notified vide Office Order No. 64 of 2020, wherein broad distribution of work amongst the Board Members has been indicated. Consequently, since the post of Member Staff is no longer in existence, Office Order No. 26 of 1982 relating to delegation of powers for amending/framing the Recruitment Rules, may be amended as follows:-
“Henceforth all proposals related to framing/amending of Recruitment Rules for various Gazetted posts/services (including ex-cadre posts and other posts belonging to miscellaneous categories) on Zonal Railways/PUs as also in the Railway Board and the RDSO may be approved by Board (CRB & CEO). In this process, Board (CRB & CEO) may associate an officer at an appropriate level – DG/HR, Secretary/RB, JS(C) or any other officer from the Directorate concerned.”
2. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
