7th Pay Commission – Modi Govt gives big gift to pensioners- पेंशनर्स को फरवरी 2021 तक मिलेगा लाभ
मोदी सरकार ने कोरोना संकट के बीच 65 लाख से ज्यादा केंद्रीय पेंशनर्स को बड़ी सौगात बड़ी सौगात दी है। पेंशनर्स के लाइफ सर्टिफिकेट जमा करने की डेडलाइन बढ़ा दी है। अब पेंशनर्स फरवरी 2021 तक इस काम को पूरा कर सकते हैं। 31 दिसंबर इसकी डेडलाइन रखी गई थी लेकिन अब करीब 2 महीने का अतिरिक्त समय पेंशनर्स को दिया गया है।
The Modi government has given a big deal to over 65 lakh central pensioners in the midst of Corona crisis. Pensioners have now increased the deadline to submit their life certificate. Now pensioners can complete this work by February 2021. Its deadline was kept on 31 December, but now about 2 months’ extra time has been given to pensioners.
A life certificate is proof of the pensioner’s survival. If it is not deposited, the government can stop getting pension. On normal days, the life certificate has to be submitted by 30 November. It is necessary to submit this certificate every year.

Doorstep service for submission of DLC (Digital Life Certificate): The India Post Payments Bank of the D/o Posts, in coordination with Jeevan Pramaan NIC team, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the “Doorstep DLC service” for pensioners. The DLC from Home initiative of the D/o Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare had initially been started with the assistance of registered Pensioners’ Associations in several cities, which went door-to-door to obtain Digital Life Certificate from Pensioners. To expand this service across the country, D/o Posts huge network of Postmen & Gramin Dak Sevaks has been put to use. IPPB has customized its software with the Jeevan Pramaan Digital service and is now utilizing the huge national network of more than 1,36,000 access points in Post Offices and more than 1.89,000 Postmen & Gramin Dak Sevaks, who have been equipped with smart phones and biometric devices in providing doorstep service for submission of Digital Life Certificate in every part of the country .

Revision of pension of pre-2016 pensioners/family pensioners: The undersigned is directed to say that, in implementation of the decisions taken by the Government on the recommendations of Seventh Central Pay Commission, various orders/ instructions/ clarifications have been issued by this Department from time to time for revision of pension /family pension, with effect from 01.01.2016, of all pre-2016 pensioners/ family pensioners. Recent decision on PPO: Pensioners can now store Pension Payment Order (PPO) in DigiLocker. In fact, many pensioners lose the original copy of their PPO over time, after which they face difficulties in doing pension related tasks. In such a situation, he can get rid of this tension by storing PPO in DigiLocker.
DA can be relieved after this day: Dearness allowance (DA) is being given to central employees and pensioners at the old rate due to Corona crisis. The current rate is 21 per cent but at the present rate of 17 per cent is being paid.
The government has said that the decision on DA will be taken only after June 2021.
