Delhi Higher Judicial Service Amendment Rules, 2020- Substitution in Schedule specified in rule 4

Delhi, the 4th September, 2020
No.F. 6/11/2020-Judl./Suptlaw/902-907.—In exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No.1/2/70-DH(S) dated 29th May, 1970 as amended by Notification No.1/2/70-DH(S) dated 25th July, 1970 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Captial Territory of Delhi, in consultation with the High Court of Delhi, is pleased to substitute the following new schedule, for the schedule as amended from time to time, to the Delhi Higher Judicial Services, Rules, 1970 namely:—
1. Short title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Schedule specified under rule 4: The following Schedule specified in rule 4, shall be substituted namely:—

* The post of District and Sessions Judge and District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI) is redesignated as Principal District and Sessions Judge and Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI) with no extra financial implications.
