In continuation of MoD(Works-II) order of even number dated 15.12.2017
conveying sanction of Government for implementation of 1st Cadre
Review of Barrack and Store Cadre of MES, the undersigned is directed to
convey that the posts sanctioned in the Cadre Review shall stand designated
and located as follows:-

2. Necessary orders for operating one post of Jt DG (Resource) will be
issued separately with the approval of Cabinet, being a SAG level post.
3. The above approval will be implemented as follows:-
(i) Existing Store keeper Grade I and SK-II have been re-designated as
Senior Store and Revenue Assistant and Store and Revenue Assistant
respectively. Similarly Meter reader (MCM) and Meter reader (HSG) shall be
re-designated as Senior Store & Revenue Assistant, who ever opt for the
same, otherwise they will be allowed to be in the same category and will be
wasted out through superannuation.
(ii) Meter reader (SK) shall be re-designated as Store & Revenue

(iii) Services of existing PBSO, SBSO and BSO rendered in the grade of BSO
during the period prior approval of this Cadre review shall be accounted
for as Gr ‘A’ service for all purpose such as Promotion/MACP/NFU etc. A
combined seniority list of Promotee and direct entry BSO shall be
maintained for all purposes in terms of existing guidelines of DoPT.

(iv) The approved strength as given above is for civilian staff of B/S
Cadre which is 2/3 of the total requirement. The balance 1/3 will be filled
up by the Military component as per SRO 19E, after following the due
procedure.

4. RRs may be revised as per the revised cadre structure to incorporate the
following:-

(a) Increase of Direct Recruitment quota at BSO level from 20% to 50%.
(b) All posts above JTS level be filled up through promotion only, so that
stagnation is mitigated.

qualifications of DR Supervisor B/S as given in SRO 47 of 2017

5. This issues with the concurrence of MoF DoE ID No. 2(65)/E.III Desk/2017
