COMMENTS
Army structure is steeply build pyramid. Early retirement is naturally more in the base rank ORs (Sepoys, Naiks and Havildars) and next is JCOs (Naib Subedars, Subedars And Subedar Majors). Except for Subedar Majors every rank can serve the year notified against each rank. The Subedar Major can only serve 5 years(Pre 1991) and 4years(at present) from the date of promotion to the rank. Some army personnel forced to retire after completing the service even though he is qualified for want of vacancy. So the pay structure need to be modified for the armed forces. This can be put as a algebraical equation which is directly proportional to Rank, Year of service,Grade pay, MSP etc.
