Ex-servicemen to get pension information on SMS, says official
All ex-servicemen will get to know about their pensionary benefits through SMS soon. Controller general of defence accounts (CGDA), New Delhi, SK Kohli, said this on Saturday during a pension camp here. The system is being launched in order to prevent inconveniences the pensioners. The beneficiaries will have to submit Aadhaar Card and mobile phone numbers.
On ‘one rank, one pension’ (OROP) issue, he said arrears will be paid soon. He said the department was merging entire pension record lying in banks with its own record so that the benefits could be provided to the pensioners directly. Apart from this, a website has also been created on which each of the beneficiaries will have an online account, he said.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Kanwaldeep Singh, Rajbir Singh Rana, Major General Vijay Pingle and Amarbir Chahal.

It is only the Bank Branch in Rohtak/Haryana which are not giving information regarding credit of pensions in Pensioner's Account in spite of the circular issued by the PCDA(Pensions) Allahabad
Central Bank of India, is delaying all dues to its entire pensioners each and every time. Some goodness should prevail on its management for better service
This action was required.every pensioner must know the detailes of the payments he is getting every month. I have to write many letters to my bankers CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA to get the due drawn statement but without results. A step towards right direction
It is a matter of great pleasure that Bankers will convey every transactions of debit & credit to pensioners as I have to fight for this purpose with my banker Central Bank of India to get Monthly payment Slips under RTI Act for the last Four months
I was paid the OROP arrears in may by Canara bank & the new pension from may only.The new pension for the month of March&april was not paid.I have asked for clarification on this from Canara Bank on 6 june2016.Till today there is no reply.what should I do further on this?.
You should apply under RTI Act2005 to CPIO of your Bank to supply your monthly payment slip from July 2014 to date. In case of any slakeness, file an appeal before Appellate Authority of the Bank and then file second appeal before Central Information Commission
I have received the solicited payments monthly slip after filing First Appeal before Appellate Authority and corrected scale of pension as well as Arrear too but after a four months mental harassment
2nd Instalment of OROP arrears due on 31 Aug. Is there still any delay?
