Wot about BSF, it has been declared as Civilian force… No allowance no paramilitary pay,… But for this country it's so called FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE…. great recommendations…

Facing threat of hieghst level , round the clock but… No Extra allowance….
I do not find any flaw with pay comparison table. The real problem lies with armed forces. If they want point to point comparison they must first remove unwanted rank structure and make it par with civilians rank structure. The armed forces have five stages to reach present grade pay of 8700/- whereas civilians have only four stages. Because of early promotions available to civilians the MSP being paid to armed forces gets negated within no time and there after no looking back for civilians. No point discussing the irrelevant point of pay comparision
flawed comparison …
The comparison is unrealistic as defence officers have a pyramidical rank structure with a very big base and very slow promotions. After the rank of Colonel the promotions are too few and far between.The MSP compensates to some extent and must be added to the pay to give a more realistic comparison.
It is a flawed comparison. All officers in civil side gets atleast jt secy pay at 25 years of service, while a 90% of defence officer of 27 years will draw equivalent of a colonel
