Subject: Medical fee payable to Doctors.
This is in continuation of this office memorandum of even number dated 12.01.2015 revising the aggregate sum assured limit of insurance.
Consequent upon revision in the limits of sum assured, prescribing the rate of medical fee payable to the Medical officers examining the PLI proponents was under consideration of this Directorate.
It has now been decided and ordered by the Competent Authority to fix following rates:
Fresh Proposals:
Sl No | Amount of Sum Assured | Medical fee payable |
1 | Up to Rs Ten Lakhs | Rs 50/- per examination |
2 | Above Rs Ten Lakhs & up to Rs Twenty lakhs | Rs 70/- per examination |
3 | Above Rs Twenty lakhs | Rs 120/- per examination |

Rs 150/- for each opinion |
*where the Sum Assured is above Rs 20 lacs & the age of the insurant is 55 years & above:
For obtaining second opinion on the Medical Report submitted by the insurant to safeguard the Found against improper/unscrupulous medical reports that may be submitted by the insurants & to reveal factual position of health of the insurant.

This is a worst policy, showing heaven in your hands, but very worst scheme. In addition to Premium, our suit boot sarkar has introduced service tax @1.75%!!!
