Income Tax Return Forms – ITR-1 Sahaj, ITR-2 & ITR-V Acknowledgement Form for AY 2015-16: New Form will be released

The Finance Ministry on Sunday came out with a new three-page Income Tax Return-1 (ITR-1) Sahaj forms with new ITR-1 and ITR-V (Acknowledgement) Form for Assessment year 2015-16, in a corrective measure after facing strong criticism from public. The new forms no longer require mandatory disclosure of foreign trips and dormant bank accounts as mandated by the previous form. The new form can be submitted till August 31 this year instead of the regular July 31 deadline.

Update: The New Income Tax Form including Form ITR-2A is yet to be released by the Govt (likely to be available for e-filing by 3rd week of June 2015). Click here for details
