7th CPC team visits NE region to interact with stakeholders

7th Central Pay Commission headed by its Chairman, Justice AK Mathur proceeded to North Eastern Region last week as per the Schedule of Meeting announced by 7th CPC in its official website and met all representatives of Central Government Employees and Armed Forces Personnel to assess their nature of work and field conditions.
7th Pay Commission was at Dinjan Military Station in upper Assam on Saturday. Representatives of Army, Indo Tibet Border Police (ITBP) and Assam Rifles apprised the members on various aspects of the prevailing ground conditions in the area, challenges and difficulties faced by the Security Forces while operating in the treacherous terrain and hostile environment.
Pay Commission members assessed the field conditions at forward posts and also visited Assam Rifles location at Khonsa and interacted with the troops.
As per the feedback received from representatives of Armed forced personnel who met 7CPC, members of 7th Pay Commission assured that issues raised by the Security Forces will be considered positively.
7th Pay Commission also visited Shillong in Meghalaya for three days for interaction and to obtain views from the Central Government Employees, Defence and Security Personnel.
During their visit, the team interacted with a wide array of stakeholders from Union Government services, including the Army, Air Force, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and their family members.
Aim of 7th pay Commission is to review service conditions and nature of work by interacting with various Central Government Employees organisations, Security troops and their families.
During this visit 7th Pay Commission to NER, Defence Forces assisted the commission for its review at field areas of Armed Forces located at Arunachal Pradesh, Guwahati and Shillong.
