Resignation of Doctors from Armed Forces
The details of the doctors who submitted resignations or applied for premature release from service during the last three years are as under:-

2012 | 13 | 13 | Mostly on compassionate grounds. However, few Short Service Commissioned Officers, being overaged for Permanent Commission, also applied for resignation to seek employment in civil. |

The Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) Scheme is not applicable to the doctors of Armed Forces Medical Services. However, at present, the matter is subjudice.
This information was given by Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar in a written reply to Shri CH Malla Reddy in Lok Sabha today.
