(a)the details of the scheme regarding the pension given to the dependents after the demise of a Government servant; 

(b)whether the Government proposes to change this scheme; and 

(c) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor?

MINISTER OF STATE (IC) FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT(SHRI BANDARU DATTATREYA) 

(a): The scheme for grant of family pension to the dependents after the demise of a Government servant is contained in Rule 54 of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972. The family of the deceased Government servant is eligible for family pension @ 50% of the last pay drawn for ten years and @ 30% thereafter. For Government servants who joined the Government on or after 1st January, 2004, the family pension as above has been extended on provisional basis. 

(b): No, Madam. 

(c): Does not arise in view of reply to Part (b) of the Question above.
