Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-

(a) the number of leave being enjoyed by the officers/personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) at present;

(b) whether the Government has any proposal to accord casual leave to the officers /personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces at par with the armed forces;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) if not, the reasons for not giving equal holidays to CAPF officers/personnel?

ANSWER

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI KIREN RIJIJU)

(a): The details of leave being enjoyed by the officers/personnel of Central Armed Police Force at present are given below:-

AR HQ DGAR 30 days 08 days
Formation HQ 30 days 15 days
Unit/Minor Unit 60 days 15 days
BSF Static HQ i.e. Sector HQr, Frontier HQ & Force HQ 30 days 08 days
Field formations i.e. Battalions, Units, Training Institutions 60 days 15 days
CISF Static HQ i.e. Force HQ, Sector HQrs, Zonal HQrs etc, where 5 days week working. 30 days 08 days
Field formations, where 6 days week working 30 days 15 days
CRPF Static formations 30 days 08 days
Field formations 60 days 15 days
ITBP Static formations 30 days 08 days
Field formations 60 days 15 days
SSB Static formations 30 days 08 days
Field formations 60 days 15 days

NB: NSG is a 100% deputationist Force and the entire manpower is drawn from Army, CAPFs, State Police and other organizations. Officer/personnel posted in NSG are entitled to leave as admissible in their parent organizations.
(b) to (d): A proposal for grant of Casual Leave for 20 days for officers and 30 days for other ranks of CAPFs posted in Battalion/Field, at par with Army in a calendar year to Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Assam Rifles was received. The proposal has been referred to 7th Central Pay Commission vide MHA O.M. dated 17.10.2014.
