A Copy of MoD D (Civ-II) Section letter No.3 (2) /2010 D (Civ-II) dated 11.03.2014, regarding revision of pension of pre-2006 pensioners/family pensioners, who retired as Reader/Lecturer (SG), is enclosed herewith for information and necessary action. In order to implement the instructions contained in above letter, please obtain application (proforma attached) from the pensioners retired as Reader/Lecturer (S.G.) and forward the same after completion of Part-II of application for issue of revised Corr. PPOs.

OFTICE MEMORANDUM
Subbject: Revision oi Pension of pre 2006 Pensioners/Family Pensioners who retired as Reader/ Lecturers (SC).
The undersigned is directed to say that the issue of revision of pension of pre 2006 pensioners/ family pensioners who retired as Readers/Lecturers (SC) from NDA/IMA and have retired after 3 years or more service in the grade has been under consideration in this Ministry in eonsultaion with other concerned Departments.
2. It has been decided that Readers/Lecturers (SG) who had completed 3 years of service in the pre-revised pay scales of R. 12000¬120-18300 (and/or corresponding pay scale(s) applicable prior to 1.1.1996) shall be placed at the minimum of the Pay Band of Rs. 37400- 67000 with AGP of Rs. 9000, for revision of their pension/family pension with effect from 1.1.2006 as envisaged in Min of HRD letter No. 15- 1/2009-IFD/ U.II dated 15th December, 2009 subject to the condition that they were drawing pension/family pension on. 1.1.2006 under the CCS(Pension) Rules, 1972.
This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Finance (Deptt of Expenditure) vide their ID No, 129/E.V/2014 dated 24.02.2014 and Defence (Finance) vide their ID No.1 (75)/2012-.AG/PA(132-PA) dated 07.03.2014.
