Court Martial of Defence Personnel
Based on an Army Court of Inquiry, disciplinary action has been initiated against 04 officers including Commanding Officer, 17 JCOs and 147 Other Ranks. Government has taken various steps for improving working environment in all units and formations which include opportunity for articulation of problems in free and fair manner, sensitization of environment for harmonizing officers-man relationship, higher discipline quotient, participation of officers in unit level activities, adequacy and timeline of leave, reduction in turmoil due to transfers, improvement in accommodation, transport arrangement and medical facilities etc.
This information was given by Defence Minister Shri AK Antony in a written reply to Shri P. Kumar in Lok Sabha today.
