(a) Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare under the Ministry of Defence is the nodal Department to look after the welfare of all categories of Ex-servicemen including war veterans. Its three attached offices namely Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) are working in this direction. Besides this, Record Offices, local formations / units have systems in place to periodically interact formally and informally with the families of defence personnel killed in military operations.
(b) Number of soldiers of the State of Andhra Pradesh killed on duty during the last three years are as under:

(c) Various benefits / compensation are provided to the next of the kin (NoK) of the deceased personnel as per rules. These include Liberalised Family Pension, Death Gratuity, Ex-Gratia payment, payments from Army Group Insurance Fund, Army Wives Welfare Association Fund, Army Officer Benevolent Fund and Army Central Welfare Fund.

(c) the details of the ex-gratia / compensation amount provided to their families in the State in each of the cases?
