IT-Enabled Transparency
In pursuance of the Government’s commitment towards good governance, the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) is in place since 2006 to enhance transparency and accountability at all levels of governance, particularly in the delivery of all Public services.
The plan consists of 31 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) encompassing 11 Central MMPs, 13 State MMPs, 7 integrated MMPs and 8 Common Core and Support Components. The 31 MMPs are being implemented by respective Line Ministries/Departments out of which 4 MMPs— India Portal, Common Services Centers, e-Districts and National Services Delivery Gateway (NSDG) are being implemented by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY).
