OFFICE MEMORANDUM
SUBJECT: Allotment of residential accommodation to All India Service Officers of AGMUT Cadre from Tenure Pool.
As per provisions of the Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool in Delhi) Rules, 1963, a Tenure Pool was created for allotment of houses to the officers of Indian Administrative Service, Indian Forest Service and Indian Police Service on duty with the Central Government or the Delhi Administration on tenure basis. Accordingly, allotment used to be made from Tenure Pool to the AIS Officers of AGMUT Cadre on their posting at Delhi. However, the facility was withdrawn subsequently because the AGMUT Cadre officers, when posted to Delhi, were posted in their home State and not on tenure basis. Consequent thereupon, a large number of representations have been received from AGMUT Cadre AIS officers insisting that allotment of quarters from Tenure Pool be continued because the AGMUT Cadre has more than one participating St4te and therefore their posting to Delhi is on tenure basis.
2. The matter has been examined at appropriate level and it has been decided that the All
India Service officers of AGMUT Cadre shall be allotted residential accommodation from Tenure Pool on their posting at Delhi on tenure basis. The inter se seniority of such officers vis-à-vis their counterparts on central deputation in Delhi shall be ixed keeping in view their seniority in their respective batch.
3. This issues with the approval of Minister of Urban Development.
