Dated 28.5.2015
To
All Working Committee Members of INTUC
Dear friends,
Sub : 10 (+2) Point Charter of Demands submitted by the CTUs – Present Status for information and further course of action.
In response to the 10(+2) Point Charter of Demands submitted by the Central Trade Unions to the Union Government on various occasions and subsequent meetings, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment in his letter dated 23.5.2015 has informed us that he had apprised the Prime Minister on this subject. Taking into cognizance of the seriousness of the matter, the Prime Minister has constituted a Committee comprising the Finance Minister, Minister of State for Labour, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Minister of State for Power and the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office to hold detailed discussions with the representatives of the Central. Trade Unions. He has further stated that he would convene a meeting of the Committee with the representatives of the CTUs soon after his return from Geneva after attending the ILO Conference in June, 2015.
In order to annihilate the apprehension of the Trade Unions, he has informed that the views and suggestions of the Trade Unions would be given due weightage when amendments, codification and amalgamation of the labour laws are taken up by the Union Government.
This is for your kind information and will keep you informed further developments.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
(P.J. RAJU)
Secretary
