Sub: Grant of EOL to probationary officers for appearing in Civil Services Exam – reg. compliance of Hon’ble CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi judgment dated 01.06.2017.
Ref: Board’s letter of even no. dated 27.04.2016 & 29.07.2016.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subjected cited above and to produce the relevant para of the order dated 01.06.2017 passed by Hon’ble CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi in the matter of OA No.100/1567/2017 titled ‘Benson S Ninan & Ors Vs. Union of India & Ors’ for compliance. The same is as follows:
“..In view of the above circumstances, we direct the respondents to grant leave, as may be applied by the applicants for the period in accordance with the Leave Rules and not to insist for one year EOL compulsorily. This order shall, however, remain subject to the final outcome of the OA”
Next hearing on the matter in the Hon’ble Tribunal is posted on 25.09.2012.
