Authority for using MES logo by department :question regarding Military Engineering services logo was raised in Rajya Sabha
A question regarding Military Engineer Services logo of was raised in Rajya Sabha by Shri K R Arjunan, M.P. In a reply to the above question, The Minister of state in the Ministry of defence Shri Subhash Bhamre has informed the following details

Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:
(a) whether a specific logo for Military Engineer Services (MESs) exists;
(b) if so, the authority for using the logo;
(c) whether any specific direction has been issued by Engineer-in-Chief’s branch for not using the name ‘Headquarter Military Engineer Services’ in official correspondence;
(d) if so, the reasons therefor;
(e) whether it is a fact that copies of posting orders and other circulars issued by Personnel Directorate of Engineer-in-Chief’s branch have not been uploaded on MES website during last two years; and
(f) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a) No, Sir.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) & (d): An advisory was issued by Engineer-in-Chief’s Branch to ensure the use of a uniform address by all Directorates and Sub-Directorates.
(e) & (f): Copies of posting orders and circulars containing the address authorized by Engineer-in-Chief are being uploaded on the MES website for the last 2 years.
