Modification in RPF Establishment Manual, 2019 – Eligibility criteria/residency period for promotion to the rank of Inspector (Executive): Railway Board Order

Sub: Modification in para 9(b) of Chapter- V of RPF Establishment Manual, 2019.
In reference to the above, it is apprised that eligibility criteria/residency period for promotion to the rank of Inspector (Executive) as mentioned in Schedule-IV of RPF Rules, 1987 has been amended vide GSR No. 500 (E) dated 20.07.2021, which necessitate modification in para 9(b) of Chapter- V (Promotions in RPF) of RPF Establishment Manual, 2019. Accordingly, Para 9(b) of Chapter V of RPF Establishment Manual 2019 is modified and shall be read as follows:
“For all selections under rule 70, except for the post of Inspector (IPF). all the candidates are to be called for the selection who have already completed and are completing the residency period prescribed for that post within the next 12 months from the date of nomination of DPC, subject to condition that they shall be promoted only on the date of completion of residency period of that rank, subject to the availability of vacancy, DAR & Vigilance clearance.”
This has the approval of DG/RPF.
