443. SHRI NABA KUMAR SARANIA:

Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the Ordnance factories established/existing in the country, State/UT-wise;

(b) whether there is any proposal to increase the capacity of Ordnance factories and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether there is any proposal to privatize Jabalpur Ordnance factory and if so, the details thereof along with the reasons behind the same;

(d) the total number of employees working in Ordnance factories across the country; and

(e) the proposal of the Government to secure the future of these employees in case of privatisation of Jabalpur Ordnance factory?

MINISTER OF STATE (SHRI AJAY BHATT) IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

(a): Details of Ordnance factories established/existing in the country, State/UT-wise is attached as Annexure:

(b): Yes, Sir. Ordnance Factories under the new DPSUs continuously enhance/upgrade their capacity by establishing new Plant and Machineries as per the futuristic requirements of Defence Stores.

(c): No, Sir.

(d): As on 01.07.2023, a total of 66,429 numbers of employees are working in 41 Ordnance factories, under the 07 newly created DPSUs, across the country.

(e): Does not arise in view of reply to part (c).

आयुध निर्माणी

443. श्री नव कुमार सरनीया:

क्या. रक्षा मंत्री यह बताने की कृपा करेंगे कि:

(क) देश में स्थापित/विद्यमान आयुध निर्माणियों का राज्य/संघ राज्यक्षेत्र-वार ब्यौरा क्‍या है ;

(ख) क्‍या आयुध निर्माणियों की क्षमता बढ़ाने का कोई प्रस्ताव है और यदि हां, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा कया है ;

(ग) क्‍या जबलपुर आयुध निर्माणी का निजीकरण करने का कोई प्रस्ताव है और यदि हां, तो तत्संबंधी ब्यौरा क्या है और इसके क्या कारण हैं ;

(घ) सम्पूर्ण देश में कुल कितने कर्मचारी आयुध निर्माणियों में कार्यरत हैं; और

(ड.) जबलपुर आयुध निर्माणी का निजीकरण होने की स्थिति में इन कर्मचारियों के भविष्य को सुरक्षित करने के लिए सरकार का क्‍या प्रस्ताव है ?

रक्षा मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री (श्री अजय भट्ट)

(क): देश में स्थापित/मौजूदा आयुध निर्माणियों का राज्य/संघ राज्य क्षेत्र-वार ब्यौरा अनुबंध के रूप में संलग्न है।

(ख): जी, हां । नए डीपीएसयू के तहत आयुध निर्माणियां रक्षा स्टोर्स की भावी आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार नए प्लांट एवं मशीनरीज स्थापित करने के द्वारा अपनी क्षमताओं में लगातार वृद्धि/उन्नयन करती हैं ।

(ग): जी, नहीं ।

(घ): दिनांक 01.07.2023 की स्थिति के अनुसार, देश भर में 07 नए सृजित डीपीएसयू के अन्तर्गत 41 आयुध निर्माणियों में कुल 66,429 कर्मचारी कार्य कर रहे हैं।

(ड): भाग (ग) के उत्तर के संदर्भ में प्रश्न नहीं उठता ।
