METHODOLOGY FOR FIXATION OF BASIC PAY
427 SHRI NEERAJ SHEKHAR:
Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:
(a) whether there is any difference in methodology for fixation of basic pay in cases of ACP and regular promotion under 6th Central Pay Commission between 01/01/2006 to 31/08/2008;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether fixation of pay in cases of ACP is at par with regular promotion; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): No Sir.
(b): In view of (a) above, the question does not arise.
(c) & (d): As per the recommendations of the 5th Central Pay Commission (CPC), the scheme of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in respect of Central Government civilian employees, was introduced with effect from 09.08.1999. On implementation of revised pay structure/rules, as per the recommendations of the 6th CPC, w.e.f. 01.01.2006, the ACP scheme was continued upto 31.08.2008. The general principles governing fixation of pay at the time of regular promotion under
Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, were applicable in cases of grant of financial upgradation under ACP scheme upto 31.08.2008.
COMMENTS
I retired on 30.06.2006 as HSG1 Postmaster.(India Post)
.My increment date is 1.2.2006.The increment not considered for fixing my pay in the 6th pay commission.Thereby I am drawing less pension than my junior.No reply to my letters.Is it correct.
I got acp during May 2005. Instead of fixing my pay for next promotion, my department fixed my pay wef 01 Jan 2006 under MACP by giving noe more increment. Please confirm is it in order.
