Is the total number 36.57 lakhs stated above correct ?

Pensioners alone used to be in the order of 65 lakhs or so

    Shall thank for a clarification

Yes, as gathered from various news articles, the present number of pensioners is not less than 65 lakhs. The staff side representatives should enquire from Govt how this figure has come down to 33 lakhs.
