Subject: Students Learning Enhancement Guidelines
CBSE has advised its affiliated schools to follow Alternative Academic Calendar prepared by NCERT to continue educational activities during the lockdown caused by Covid-19. The schools have been making efforts to provide education to students at their homes through alternate means of delivery such as, distribution of textbooks at homes of learners, telephonic guidance by teachers, online and digital content delivered through various media, online classes conducted by the teachers, activity based learning through the Alternate Academic Calendar released by NCERT, worksheets, TV, radio, etc.
The alternative modes, however, have certain limitations due to unequal distribution of learning resources across learners and schools. Therefore, to address the issues related to learning gaps and to compensate the loss of learning among students, during and after the lockdown, the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) has prepared ‘Students Learning Enhancement Guidelines’ with a focus on achievement of learning outcome. These guidelines suggest models for the following three types of scenarios:
- Learning Enhancement during COVID-19 for students without digital devices
- Learning Enhancement during COVID-19 for students with limited accessibility to digital devices
- Learning Enhancement during COVID-19 for students with digital devices
